Recreate it at home in five easy steps!
Just because you couldn't snag a ticket to your favorite New York Fashion Week shows, doesn't mean you can't copy the gorgeous hairstyles that debut alongside the new collections. One in particular we're fangirling over is this unique ponytail worn by models during the Novis presentation. Crafted by Matthew Morris for L'Oréal Professionnel, the look is a fresh upgrade to a basic low ponytail. Best of all? You can totally conquer it yourself at home! Here's how it's done.
Work L'Oréal Professionnel Sleek & Swing through the hair and flat iron from the nape.
Spray L'Oréal Professionnel Densite at the roots and blow dry into the hair.
Divide the hair from ear-to-ear across the head and create a side part at the hairline. On the back hair, divide into two symmetrical ponytails.
Take small sections from each side of the front hair and bring to the opposite ponytail, securing each section with a rubber band. Spray each section with L'Oréal Professionnel Infinium 3.
Once all sections have been pulled into the ponytails, cover the rubber bands with pieces of your hair and spray with L'Oréal Professionnel Shower Shine for instant shine.
According to Morris, the key to nailing this look is keeping your specific hair type in mind. "For this look, one model needed more L'Oréal Professionnel Densite while another model needed more L'Oréal Professionnel Sleek & Swing," he says. It may take a bit of trial and error, but the end result is very, very worth it.
