It's all about mixing subtle shades this season.
As much as we love bold, in-your-face hair color, this season it's all about mixing super soft pastels and shimmering metallics. So, what do we want? A pretty new 'do! When do we want it? Now!
Let's get one thing straight, while we're fans of natural hair colors like blonde, brunette and red, sometimes we all need to express our creative colorful side.
Choose Your Hues
If it exists in nature, why not in the realm of hair color, too? There are beautiful colors of spring all around us! Soft roses, bright tulips and gorgeous irises are all around us. Take a cue from their stand out shades and incorporate them into your look at your next appointment.
Perhaps try a hair color palette with cheeky hints of pink around the ears that blend seamlessly into a natural blonde and finishes with surprising turquoise top notes!
The best thing about prismatic hair is that the palette is personal. Speak with your L'Oréal Professional hair colorist about your favorite shades, your natural hair color and skin tone, and together you'll come up with a unique color combination to make heads turn this spring.
Now, if you are at all uncertain if you will be able to pull off the look, you can always try it on first with the help of the Style My Hair App ! Simply snap a selfie and have fun experimenting with the endless hair color and style possibilities.
How To Style Prismatic Hair
When you have gorgeously colored hair, sure it's pretty enough hanging loose all on its own, but why not take it up a notch? Forget a regular bun, and instead give your look a literal twist with a low coiled chignon or intricate braid. Both of these hairstyles offer up a great way of showcasing the different shades in your hair, and isn't that the whole point in your new look?
While braids are pretty straight forward, you may not feel as skilled with chignons.
To get the look, simply tie your hair into a loose low ponytail, secure, then twist the hair around itself until it naturally curls into a bun. Tuck the ends into the elastic before gently pulling at the edges to fluff it up for a slightly more effortless look – and you're ready to slay the day.
